Aaron La Farge is the CEO and Founder of the Oklahoma Jets wrestling squad that is embarked on a mission to uplift underserved youth through the sport that changed the course of his life. He competed in mixed martial arts as a professional (MMA) fighter after completing his college wrestling career and bachelor’s of science degree where he earned Dean’s List Honor Roll recognition twice. Now coaching giving back through education and coaching creating champions on and off the mat. 

Fighting and Wrestling Career:

  • Wrestling: La Farge was All-American wrestler for Oklahoma City University, where he also finished as the 2015 NAIA national runner-up in the 125lb weight class and the first lightweight to accomplish the feat for OCU men’s wrestling earning the NAIA Champion of Character Award. La Farge earned over 100 college wins in his career and was a part of teams that finished 3rd, 3rd and 5th place at nationals throughout his career. He also wrestled for Montana State-Northern helping propel MSU-Northern back into the national spotlight where he was a two-year starter, (5th place) All-American as a sophomore and #1 in the country as a junior, helping his team to an 8-1 dual season plus a #2 national team ranking before a season ending injury mid-season. Competed one year at Palomar Community College in San Diego County, California where he was a CCCAA place-winner, All-American and Team Co-MVP. 2x All-State as a prep before graduating at the tender age of 17 also the first 5 counties medalist for his high school defeating Reno TOC champion Ryan Nasseri of national powerhouse Poway high school in the (5th place) medal match. Earned over 140 wins as a prep. 

  • Coaching: Coached in Montana, California and Oklahoma. 

  • MMA: La Farge has competed in various professional MMA promotions, including Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA), Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC), Lights Out Xtreme Fighting (LXF), and Smash Global.

  • Titles: In 2022, he won and became the first-ever SMASH Global MMA Flyweight champion for the professional organization. 

Other details

  • Location: Oklahoma County to Pottawatomie County

  • Background: He began wrestling at a younger age from the guidance of his uncle a 20- year coach and English Teacher. He also has a background in boxing and jiu-jitsu. He currently holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
